What is Dental Bonding?

In your search for smile enhancement procedures, you may have come across the term “dental bonding.” In this video, Dr. David P. Ney describes what dental bonding is so that you can make an informed choice about your treatment.

So people go, what is bonding? Well, basically, bonding is bonding something to your tooth, right. In this case, and it depends what kind of composite you use. We use the top composite that really is out there. I’ve taken a class that was phenomenal with actually dental bonding.

And so what we do again, create a little space on the tooth structure and then place a composite. And once we place that a composite, we polish it, and that’s called actually bonding. But the real bonding is I’m bonding composite to a tooth. That’s what dental bonding is.
