Who is a Good Candidate for Veneers?
You may be considering porcelain veneers if you want to unveil a radiant new smile. In the video below, Harrisburg dentist Dr. David P. Ney explains what makes someone a good candidate for veneers.
A really good candidate for a veneer would be someone who has a situation where they want something just a little bit subtly changed, for instance, right? Whether it’s a shade, whether it’s a shape of a tooth. My situation with that, I’ll be very honest about that.
If it’s a situation where we have to take away a lot of tooth structure, I will tell that patient we’re taking away a fair amount of tooth structure to get what you want, we may want to go ortho before we go the veneer route. It depends what the expectation is. Once we know what the expectation is, we can let you know exactly where the option is.
