What is an Implant Retained Bridge?

If you have missing teeth, Dr. David P. Ney may recommend an implant retained bridge to close the gap in your smile. In the video below, Dr. Ney explains how he uses this treatment at his practice.

So an implant or retained bridge would be nothing more than a simple bridge. So what’s a bridge to begin with? Right, so you’re going to have spaces in between two teeth. So you’re going to crown one tooth, crown one tooth splint. And that’s a bridge.

You’re going to bridge those two teeth. So instead of bridging those two teeth, what we’re going to do is place implants into those areas, into those those missing spaces, and we blint them and we basically cause an actual bridge to occur that way.

The great thing about that is we don’t have to hurt any virgin teeth, potentially. We don’t have to crown anything that doesn’t have to be crowned. And we can basically fill the space in with a bridge with implants. So if you’re missing multiple teeth and have multiple spaces, give us a call. We will give you a free consult, and we’ll give you some options.
